Yep, I have and I must say I'm quite please with it. Everything is now super fast. Opening and rendering filters on CS2 use to take ages on my Mac Pro but now everything happens at warp speed. It now only take 1 second to open Photoshop when I first start up my computer when it used to take 15 to 20.
There are a couple of new tools like the Quick Selection and the Magnetic Lasso tools which are fantastic and easy to work with; not to mention the Smart Filters as well. There are quite a few things that I like about CS3 and I don't even use Adobe Bridge! In fact, the greatly enhanced speed is worth the admission fee to me.

When using the Lasso Tool in CS2, you'll need to click and hold on the mouse before tracing the outline of what you want selected. With the MLT, all you need to do is click once, trace and the MLT will attach itself to the outline. You need to try it to know what I really mean.

What CS2 have are the Lasso Tool, Polygonal Tool and something else which I don't remember. Magnetic Lasso Tool is new and if you are still unclear after my explanation, you'll have to try it yourself.

You won't know what we're talking about unless you have used the full Photoshop suite.

You won't know what we're talking about unless you have used the full Photoshop suite. Believe what you want but do take a look at the older editions. I have Photoshop (can't remember which edition) in the office and have used Photoshop CS in class before. All 3 lasso tools were available in these as well as in my old Photoshop Elements 2 and is nothing new. The magnetic lasso tool has always been activated by only one click of the mouse without having to keep the button depressed whilst "outlining".

Really? I very rarely use any of the Lasso tools in the past until now... My mistake. Anyway, like I said earlier, the greatly enhance speed alone in CS3 is worth the admission price. At least to me.
