Anyone start using Leopard already? Any difference from the previous OS?

using it...loving it :jump1:

incompatible versions of 3rd party software may cause problems though -

1. application enhancer + shapeshifter can cause blue screen of death

2. yahoo messenger 3.0 crashes on launch - to fix this upgrade to build 75170

3. some itunes plugins like volumelogic and srs iwow won't work. volumelogic no more in production. srs iwow should be coming up with a fix.

4. read from other forum - drivers for some canon printers missing. but my i990 which i installed long ago still works :grin:

Hey Madmacs can it still use Java? Getting my MacPro soon. :grin:

yes...java works.

$ java -version
java version "1.5.0_13"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_13-b05-237)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_13-119, mixed mode)

one good test is to login to dbs internet banking. if java doesn't work you won't be able to access :grin:

Did the upgrade from 10.4 to 10.5.

Only certain applications not supported in 10.5 broke, the rest are working well. No hindrance in my daily work/usages.
