Anyone used it before? Thinking of getting one for myself so wondering if it's good enough for Photoshop work?

does it replace the graphire series? graphire is good enough for casual photoshop. for more precise photoshop i think intuos range would be better.

Hehe using it now... I'll post up some personal review after a few days.

BTW, I have just spoken to Wacom. We might be having a MO soon

Not really, personally am using the graphire series for commerical work is more than sufficient for me. Designer might need intuos for faster speed. Whereas Wacom Bamboo is more for hobbyist who wish to pick it up for a start and for a good price too. :)

Agree with Ricky.

I have used the Bamboo for a day now. Not too bad for sensitivity and it is rather accurate when doing edging out. Handwriting recognition on Mac works fine too. The 4 customisable buttons on the tablet are useful but I do not use them because I am too used to keyboard shortcuts and actions (in Photoshop). A recommendation from me is to put one of the arrow buttons as Command+P (Mac) or Control+P (Win) so that you can easily toggle between your current image and the last change (Photoshop).

As I am using a 4x6 size tablet, I find it may be a little small when doing really precise work and drawings. However, it still beats using a mouse for accurate work. If you have a spare USB port, you should also plug in a mouse to complement the tablet.

Personally I don't like the 6x9 one as I find it too big for me. I would have to move my arm a lot more than needed to get to the areas I want. Unless you are in serious DI work, I recommend getting the 4x6 one. In addition, the 4x6 fits nicely into a laptop bag so it's easy to carry around.

A review will be posted for use in Illustrator once I begin working on my project. :)

Just my short review. Heh :coolnod:
