CES 2008: Miniature memory for Sony compact consumers. Sony has launched a 16GB variant (the larges yet) of its Memory Stick PRO Duo memory card format used in its compact digital cameras.
Based on existing Sony estimates for its smaller capacity cards, the 16GB version should be able to fit around 3200 images from a 12MP compact camera or around 680 RAW + JPEG files from the Sony Alpha 700 DSLR.
