Firstly, i got this DV Cam from my dad, and he dun have the cable to link to the computer for DL. Is there anyway, to DL it to computer. Need Pros and masters' advise.

i think the cable should be standard firewire cable.

can normal RBG cable able to link it to the com

your comp got rgb input meh? anyway if have the quality still lose to firewire which transfers in digital.

Maybe you can try DVD recorder first then edit it in your comp later.:rofl: :grin:

Firstly, your PC need to have a Firefire 1394 interface, secondly need capturing software (like Adobe Premiere) to do the transfer from cam to PC. This cable is easily available; likely you need a 6-pin to 4-pin type. Connect the cam to PC is quite straightforward. Do note the file size after capturing is going to be quite huge, so sufficient HDD space is required.

The Cam shd come together with a capture software, if not, then u need a capture software like vegas, adobe premier etc, for capturing and editing. Together, u need a firewire.
To have the best results, must have atleast 1g ram, best is 2g and above. And alot harddisk space. Advise to have allocate some 50g for massive capturing.
If need help, post again. Check have fire wire card behind or not your cpu.
