Is it due to camera faulty, camera setting or space between photographer & subject. Equipment using Nikon D200 & 17-35 f2.8. Pls Advice. Below are the 2 of the few images that were back focussing. Focussing was aim at the bride but end up the back were sharp. Maybe the guru Stanley can help me.:)

Sometime is the back light too strong it will cause back focussing problem also! But if your problem only for a few pictures only than forget it if you shoot for more than 1000 pics. Sometime is you never lock your focus properly!

Hi,
I have done this test on my Konica Minolta 7D before. I shoot on a ruler but the intended focus point is slightly out. Any place I can go for adjustment?
(Lens 17-35 f2.8)

Regards

Ok! You can test on your manual focus first! Than test on auto focus. See which one give you better sharpness? But i know 7D problems...... to me is suck man the focusing! Because it don't build in with the IR focusing assis! It always give you back focusing problem! I'm using the 17-35 f2.8 also for many event! End up the background is sharper than the subjects man!
What you need to do is to focus others point on your subject, and use your eyes to see your subject is sharp or not??? Many cameras got this problem when using wide angle lens!
But A700 Very Very Good lar!

RegardsI don't know know of any 17-35mm lens that has a constant max aperture of f2.8. Is the lens a Minolta, Sony or other 3rd party? Does this happen with only this lens or other lenses as well?

Just bring your body and lens to Sony Service Centre at Orchard Wisma and leave some of your test shots in a CF card for the engineer to see.

This will help as they can guage how much BF or FF there is need to be adjusted.

Do test on other lenses and see if you could replicate the problem. If its just the 17-35, then it might be the lens has misaligned elements. Hope this helps.
