My apologies to those who couldn't make it. It was an impromptu decision.
For those who did, I hope you enjoyed yourself and here's one pic of mine to share.

Pls remember to send the model her pics as she has not done photoshoots for quite a while and have nothing recent for her portfolio.

We tried it once to try getting stroboscopic effect during a shoot. However, one must calculate carefully and use the minimum power otherwise the safety circuit will cut in and you won't get anything.;)

Burst!!?? You Gila liao:grin: It will kill your shuttle faster and kill the flash tube too! And you may miss some shot that the flash never fire for re-cycling time. Multiblitz got build in circuit breaker for over heated problem, but We still do one shot kill for normal portrait.

:) Compose and shoot is way to go.

Actually, there was a photographic club that toasted the tube in the studio due to misuse. The instructor forgot to tell students that only one participant can use the light at each interval. Then some participants used their own IR remote and fired along. The tube burnt out quickly and so was the instructor's face.

That is not important! Every club got this problem man! Just because many of them still don't understand the lighting! That's why i just let them shoot and i can know who are the good photographer! And Multiblitz lighting can control them man!!! It just happen to me last sunday nude shoot in Hotel 81.

Hi Stanley
I fully understand how you feel.
So reference to that friend of mine, in the end, whenever he holds a studio session, he would do a verbal equipment check and also remind the students to keep all personal remote devices. For those who shoots ambient mode, they cannot use pop up flash or hotshoe mounted flash. The only trigger allowed is the one supplied by the instructor.

Sometimes, it is difficult to blame newbies in studio shoots. They would not know that a new bulb can cost up $500 and a toasted circuit board nearing thousand for repair. Some dont really care as its not their lights (since they pay for the shoot) and so they need to maximize the session, shooting from behind with every photographer.

Sorry for the OT guys... Had been great chatting in this thread.
