Rules & Regulations
1. The competition is open to all citizens and residents of Singapore, except for Singapore Turf Club's employees (permanent or casual).
2. Participants must be 18 years old and above.
3. All participants must pay a one-time registration fee of S$10 at The Photographic Society of Singapore before he/she will be issued with an admisison pass to
the Singapore Racecourse for photo-taking.
4. The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify entries that have won prizes in other competitions, or used for any commercial purpose before.
5. Contestants must own the sole copyright of entries submitted. The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any prize winners who do not own the copyrights to their entries or if the origin of the source is in dispute and to recover the prizes that have been awarded to them.
6. The Organisers will not be responsible for lost or damaged entries.
7. The Organisers shall have the right of exhibit, editing of title entry and use of winning entries for any publicity and marketing purposes. The images shall
remain as a property of the Organisers.
8. The winners can still own these images for their own portfolio, but not for any other commercial usage.
9. Each contestant can submit no more than 10 photos.
10. Each contestant can only win one prize. Only winners will be notified by post.
11. Results of the contest will also be uploaded onto the Club and Society’s website from 10 May 2007.
12. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence pertaining to the decision of the results will be entertained.
13. Entry deadline is 19 April 2007.
Entry Requirements
14. All photographs must be taken in the Singapore Racecourse (Kranji).
15. Subject matter can be: Racing action, people at the races, sculptures and architecture etc.
16. Flash photography is NOT allowed during races.
18. Name, NRIC/Passport No., Address, Telephone No., Email Address, and Title of Entry/Filename should be included on the official entry forms.
19. Images can be in colour or monochrome.
20. Slides or negatives will not be accepted.
21. Composite photographs, multiple exposures, and images manipulated electronically which distort the reality of the image or otherwise will be
disqualified. Adjustments of saturation or levels are acceptable.
22. All photographs should be submitted in JPEG format with minimal compression, at least 2000 pixels on the longer side, in a CD, together with the completed
official form, to
