Nikon announces Speedlight SB-900 flashgun

Nikon has today announced its new top-of-the-range flashgun - the Speedlight SB-900. The new model features a Multi-step auto zoom covering a 17-200mm zoom range, three illumination patterns (standard, center-weighted and even) and automatically detects if you are using the Nikon FX or DX format. The SB-900 will be available from the 25th of July.

Awesome baby...just got some test samples from oversea magazine friends who are evaluating this baby with the D700 :clap2:

Combined with softboxes and umbrellas, photographers can have portable studio set up in the field for critical close range shoots :happy1:

wonder if the cable for the sb800 can fit this ..

Just to add on, pls see pics of the power connector for SB900 and SB800.

Connectors looks almost compatible. SB900 socket have extra slits.
