Canon has just added a mysterious teaser to its US website. The page shows a silhouette of a camera with the words 'Destined Evolution.' Maybe it will be updated to include more detail in the future, we don't know. It's almost as if the company is building up to the launch of a camera to replace one of its older models. We have no specific information but it doesn't require any profound market insight to predict an EOS 5D replacement is coming.

interesting

The Alpha A900 is Sony’s flagship DSLR, and like the Nikon D700, is priced only slightly higher than Canon’s latest model. Again both cameras have a number of features in common including full-frame sensors, 3in VGA monitors and HDMI output. In its favour, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II additionally features Live View, video recording in Full HD, a maximum sensitivity of 25,600 ISO to the Sony’s 6400 ISO, and a slightly lower price tag at launch.

If I have the $$$, and looking for a FF DSLR, among the currently offered or going to be offered - S, N & C - I will definitely go for C.

Seeing the movie recorded by it, it makes me drooling for one.

Sigghhh... if each of the SGShoot members just contribute $15 to me..
