Picture Control and Manual White Balance

I wonder, if i set the D300 under a specific picture control mode and do manual white balance on the cam (with white balance card), what would be the result? Will be picture produce by the cam be white neutral or something else?

That really depends on the white balanced on your subject. Are you intending to do a white balance using 80% grey card? Or just using a white surface to get the WB?

Whatever you used to do WB calculation will meter that as white and adjust all colours accordingly to suit the targetted 'white'.
