Nikon D90 or Nikon D300

i am asking on the behalf of my friend. my friend wants to buy a nikon DSLR,either d90 or d300. is d300 a higher level than d90,not just consumer level?so is d90 or d300 better. thanks.:coolnod:

Would you like to explain what you mean by higher level?

If you are talking about the entry level(Nikon D60) followed by middle level then professional level(Nikon D3X) then I think both cameras fall under the middle catagory.

I think their specifications are really very similar. Has your friend been to any Nikon retail outlet to have a hands-on experience with both cameras? If he hasn't then I think he should because the cameras may have different "feel".

if TS want a machine gun(high frame rates) and pro-grade body(weather seal) then go for D300.

otherwise D90 is good enough.

but if TS ask me for good out-of-the-box then i'll recommend Fuji S5pro..... hard to get nowadays unfortunately.
