Wah! You post this past 3am ah! And I thought I was the one being kiasu.

Firstly... sorry, never say hello to you. You are the only female in the group right? Your Flickr account says "Miss"? Thanks for joining us.

Some great pixs you have there. I enjoy especially #3 and #4, and the Indian wedding looking in from the big words... I think that is excellent example of making good use of your situation (where you are blocked from getting a more direct shot). Sometimes, "compromise" shots like this actually better than more direct shots.

Bicycle up the wall was a good capture. Er, how come I did not see it?

The corridor shots of that b/w corner building could have done with a bit of waiting, ie wait for people to walk away or walk into some better position. That would have made the shots better. Right now a bit "not here not there".

Dog on black wall also better if darker. Situations like this I usually underexpose by one stop or more.... Mine I set to -1.0 and then on Lightroom increase exposure to +0.34 and increase "black" from 5 to 18.

Children playing.. the one just before the silat not bad. But here, I must say Jacob did a nice job - both the point of view and the moment (to catch their expressions) was better.

Overall, can do with fewer pixs in the slideshow. Just show your best (and maybe a few 2nd bests). Make your audience keep going wow! Don't let it stop (or stop too long).

I thought opening pix was ok, #2 was much better, #3 wow, #4 still wow (but smaller), #5 I thought you just put in to identify the location.... and then took a while before I went wow again. Everybody has so so pixs, nothing to be shy about that. But not everybody shows them.

Finally... I did not think the pixs were taken by compact camera until I read your post again! Heehee either your compact is very good (issit Fuji?) or my eyes not good enough to tell the difference

Cheers. Hope I have not been too critical.

good to see you too!

btw before i end this post, may i suggest that next time when we post pictures after an outing, i think we should each start a new thread to show your pictures in the gallery section so that each particular thread belongs to each participants. we should do this so that any replies from critics will not confuse us. just my point of view. can?
