Yes, Fujifilm have stocks of the battery. I went down this evening to collect, but unfortunately due to some misunderstandings between the Sales Center and the Warehouse, I could not bring one home. But the nice lady at the counter said there are ample batteries in stock!

Personally, I find having 2 or 3 batteries is more than sufficient. From my past experience, the batteries will usually outlast the camera (especially if you have bought the original ones).

i wonder anyone know of the battery life span as regards to the shutter counts?

If each battery gives us 1,000 cycles and each cycles gives us 250 shots, that works out to be a mind boggling 250,000 shots. I think 2 batteries or at most 3 batteries should be enough, just in case you need to shoot for the whole day and there is no opportunity to recharge the batteries. As pointed out by Kopiokaya, the battery will surely outlive the camera.

Side track a bit...I find that the S5 Pro is a battery guzzler.

Our friend Bluffman's S5 Pro has a shutter count of 400k liao, and he is using one battery only. ;)

How many times did he go to the green building to have his shutter or other parts replaced? Bluffman must be snapping almost everything that he sees to achieve this phenomenal figure.

To be exact.... NIL/NONE. His S5 Pro has never visited the green building. How I know..... because he would ask me first if he encountered any problem with his camera (I am more or less his technical consultant).

More importantly, his S5 Pro was a gray set. Therefore, it is not eligible for local warranty.

I understand that the shutter life of the S5 Pro is around 100,000 shots or at most 150,000. Am I correct?

The S5 Pro will be with me forever as long as it is functional. Since it is able to hit 400K shots, I think I will have it for life. Maybe I can consider it as my second wife in that case. The D50 is my third wife. Nothing beats the realistic colour of the S5 Pro IMHO.

Congrats. These batteries are hard to find. Have to wait very long (in terms of months) for batteries to arrive even if you order from Fujifilm itself from my personal experience. I waited until I gave up and got my battery dosage from CP. I think your 3 batteries should last you 1 million shots. :happy1:

(Hint... hint....) There is news that there will be a S6 Pro after all, but it won't happen this year.

For me, I find that having a battery grip with 2 batteries is sufficient for most of my photo shoots... did not have a low batt condition so far.
