I understand 6x6 can used it mainly for products and even fashion portrait. 67 is widely used by fashion photographer because the size of crop is near to a magazine print out (as what i read from book). I was wondering what is the purpose of 645?

The 645 is basically for photographers who needed a bigger format camera than the 35mm but don't want the extra weight and cost attached to a 6x7. The film size of the 645 is actually 56mm x 42mm which is 2.7 times bigger than the common 35mm (24mm x 36mm) film.
