i'm not sure if we can do this technically but perhaps you can elaborate on why you think this should be done.

hehe...this has been brought up since day 1 when we were planning this forum. in the end we decided to go with the current practice. however we do review this periodically, so who knows....maybe sometime in the future?

theres no particular for reason (1) - i just make a mistake in the 'cheapo fashion' thread and then i notice i can correct post up to 1 week back

actually i can't say if it's good or bad earlier. as far as i can imagine, the only people who may want to edit their threads beyond a week may be those who are trying to hide something, or deny that they ever said certain words. we do take periodic backups so in serious cases we could probably retrieve those backups and see what was originally said. so i would probably leave things as is for now unless there is massive objection. :cheers:
