For those of you who own the FinePix S100FS, the purple fringing problem still exist. However, battery life is much better on this new model.

dun blow up pic no problem. even my 50 f1.4 give pf. i also heck care.

For those of you who own the FinePix S100FS, it is good to know that purple fringing is absent in this new model. Also, battery life is much better.

Another site where the Photographer mention that the purple fringing is completely absent from some of his daylight photos.

Yes, he called me this afternoon and asked my opinion on this camera. I told him this is not a compact camera and may be too bulky for his liking.

Luke wanted to get one also.

i c...... me still looking at lx3 at the moment..... unless fuji can come out with something small compact looking with hot shoe on top. fast lens not required just need good out of the box images will do.

You are right, I am all out for Fuji FinePix Camera, beautiful existing light pics with very good white balance and dynamic range. My composed photo with the F200EXR camera, and all my forum mates thought I was using a DSLR.
