Recently got poisoned by one of my other hobby friends..Basically wanted something to shoot Remote Control Helicopters, at the same time taking video.

Canon 500D and Nikon D5000/D90..Considering these three models. I am more leaning towards the Nikon. First time into DSLR and basically a total noobs.

See you guys around.

Since you're tilted towards Nikon, why not just get a Nikon? Personal hand feel & controls must be what you're adjusted to.

go to the shop and test/feel/molest the camera first then decide.

Yes, tested all three at CP. :victory:

Now only torn between D90 or D5000.

I was told by Florence that the entire Singapore has got no stock for D90.... You will have to wait for another 2 weeks or so.

I was told by 3:16 that there will be one unit coming in.

By the way, how often does nikon comes out with new model?

Or I should just go lower to get the D5000. or go crazy for the D300s.

Don't be flicker-minded.... The D90 is good enough for most amateur photographers. Unless you have an existing collection of Nikon Ai-S lenses or have to shoot 5 fps. Otherwise, you don't need a D300s.
