It is very doubtful, not because the pictures that you would be taking at these venues would be of no value to you, but the capabilities of a digital single lens reflex camera would possibly far outweigh the practicalities of using it for such general photography.

Let's say that photography has been a hobby of yours for many years. Recently you have noticed that your fellow picture takers have a new toy that allows them to see the image instantly and then simply delete it if it is not the image they were trying to capture. You mention to one of them that they must save a lot of film that way and they look at you with an expression that is usually reserved only for those who are senile or insane. You are pretty sure that you are neither of those things, but realize that perhaps it is time to look into a digital camera.

Images are clicked everyday with some purpose. The purpose being professional or personal does not matter much. The point that matters is whether the purpose you clicked the image for is being displayed to perfection or not? The situations that you capture sometimes do not repeat. Some unwanted things get in between and spoils the entire photograph. Consider you want to use some photographs for your project. You find them to be excellent except a few undesirable entities here and there. You upload the image on Photoshop and try your hand at removing those entities. The end result sometimes is a complete mess up and lots of time wasted. The background also gets messed up and you are back to square one.

Digital cameras have a major advantage over film cameras in almost every way. They allow for greater picture clarity, the ability to adjust a lot more about the picture while you take it and after, you can upload to a computer easier, you can edit and print without going to a store, and a lot more. Why anyone would want to use film again is hard to image. However digital cameras are not without their faults! First and foremost is the problem of water. Electronics and water just do not get along. So how do you go about taking pictures in the rain, or on a boat, or near a waterfall, or even underwater? You'd be perfectly within your right to be worried around spraying water, and downright in dread if you had to take it underwater.

To understand what a megapixel is you have to understand what a single pixel is and how it contributes to an entire picture. Imagine painting a picture of a landscape (even if you aren't an artist, I know I'm not) and you had a limit of 100 dots of color. Now imagine having the same parameters but your limit is now 100,00 dots of color that you can use. The limit of 100,000 dots is going to give you a much sharper picture because you'll have the ability to focus on the little things in the picture, like shadows, depth, waves in the water etc.

The Canon brand of imaging equipment has been around for a long time and a lot of amateur photographers have been using this kind of camera for their photo shoots. In fact, ever since it began manufacturing its first thirty five millimeter focal plane shutter camera in 1936, Canon became one of the most trusted names in photographic imaging.

It is never apparent when the slide has been newly made, but the color will be subject to change even if you believe it is stored properly and away from any damaging light.
