While studying in the US, I had to take up Art History as a prerequisite course to photography major. I was touring Kansas City's Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art when some of Claude Monet's collections were on exhibition. One of them was this particular piece, which I think, inspired Andy's latest creation.

Claude Monet's "Water-Lily Pond", c. 1915-1926

I had first-hand encounter with the real artwork. The colors were fantastically vibrant. By looking at it, you will be transported into the painting; into a surreal world. No wonder he is (and still) the maestro of Impressionism.

But some of those famous artist like Vincent van Gogh has gone no money to count when he was a poor artist. He died penniless and those art collectors profits from most of his painting and keeping on counting as years goes by, auction prices keep going higher and higher.

I presume he was a born looser as compare with the late Spanish artist Piccaso.

Hey Uncle Kong,

Indeed a steep learning curve for me. With u guys around, I will shoot more. I need a bit of push and motivation. Not a good excuse hah?!

After all those Artistic, Amazing and BOOMZ... Surreal photos. It is time to bring u guys back to reality.... ZMOOB shoots from me. This is my humble submission. My first time using extension tube, Raynox lens etc.

1) The most decent shot for the day. PieSay man!!!

2) Very colorful pix SOOC. Weird color? Over-exposed, blurred and out of focus pix.

3) A simple shot - Basic Instinct? Boomz action?

4) Another simple shot.

That's it.

Thanks so much.

Here's the better few of my pictures. All of the pictures are quite out of focus when viewed them over the computer.

PS no photoshop or technique used to edit, just cropping of images was done. Please feel free to give me creative comments. Hehe

Uncle Bluffname,

WoW... indeed u r so magic. The photo looked better with some cropping too.

I also did some cropping and minor adjustment using Pinick/Flickr [online application] to my 2nd photo. Does it look better? I cannot figured out about the white portion in my 2nd photo. Is it due to overexposing? Weird.

Congrats, Newphew. You also learning some magic liao ;) Yes, second photo looks better now. Mine also the petals outside over-exposed. let me see if can adjust.

By the way, I did not crop your water drop pix but looking at it, you are right. Some cropping will probably improve the pix.
