Yes, that knob is based on typical European camera design. All Fujifilm Klasse rangefinder film cameras (not available in Singapore) have that sort of knob.

Dream-on... Fujifilm usually prefers not to join the megapixel race.

Packing 24M inside a m4/3 sensor, half the size of FF sensor, is going to get very noisy in there..

Exactly...

That is why the FinePix F31fd with only 6.3MP packed into a 1/1.7" SuperCCD sensor produces cleaner images at ISO 3,200 than the F200EXR. However at ISO 1,600, they are almost similar.

Unless there is some great technological breakthrough, heh heh, not likely as of now but in a few years... who knows?

The only other way is to increase the sensor size.

As for now, the equation is: increase in megapixel + lower noise = bigger sensor.
