Feel like doing some macro shots today, took out a very old memorable item which belongs to my late mother.
This item is even older than me, it is made of real sterling silver and a very unique and rear treasure passed on to me when she was around.
A guessing game again and anyone knows what is this item, don't tell me its a British coin, but a very necessary item for her daily usage.
The nett wt of this sterling siver item is approx 150gsm.
Yet another project with my mini marvel - Fuji FinePix F200EXR:thumbsup:

The front view of the Coin with the late king George IV of England, look very much alike Prince Charles

It is a ladies necklace soldered onto a British coin. My mother has one too. Hers is much newer with an Elizabeth II coin.

No! wrong and how can a lady wears a 150 gsm necklace around her neck EVERYDAY, right!
It's even heavier than my Fuji FinePix camera.:p

Alamak... You never mention it is 150 grams mah. By the way, your F200EXR weights about 220 grams (with battery and memory card).

It is something The BLING-BLING KING wears around his waist.
Only a king is fit to wear another king.

Quite close, but what is it? and what is its function and usage.
King or Queen do use it too in the prewar days.

I think the blog should be restricted to matters related to Fuji cameras / software and FUN activities, and not for guessing games, which fit in fine here.

Actually when I started this thread it is not meant for the guessing game, but more on the macro capability of the camera without the help of a Reynox
or whatever Nikon close-up lens.
My theme is macro and Nostagia and moreover the item I am shooting are a rare museum piece, and one old Chinese heritage items which not many have seen it.
That is why I shot it in three different macro mood, colourful macro, B/W macro and lastly semi zoom macro with a touch of red in the corner.
There are more old tales behind this sterling silver coins, ornaments and accessories which very few knows about. Trying to put more history into the blog and it is very educational to know our forefather heritage and history.
Nothing to hide and censored like the Japanese school books of today.
My next theme will be the ROOTS, tracing the roots of our ancestor in China.
Anyone have seen the TV series ROOTS shown on TV Singapore 20 years ago.

That would make a nice blog article, but it would need more examples to demo the macro capabilities, not just a coin. Perhaps other FUNees can contribute images? Unfortunately, our Macro King Excelglsi shoots with a Panasonic, but I am sure KopiOKaya, SoonHoe and others with Fuji PNS can supply examples? My S5 Plo, also unfortunately, don't take good macros. I tried shooting a few spiders at Hort Park and they were
Also, I think such an article should show how Fuji shines at macro. If merely show that it can shoot macro, well, others also can. But does Fuji stand out? If not, better keep quiet.

After I came back from a late dinner, I was shock and surprise to find insects, bees and grasshoppers inside this title thread.
excelglsi I think its a bit OT lio, because my thread clearly stated Nostalgia and memorable treasure, and I don't find your macro insects photo any relevant to my title :confused1: and it is rather misleading to this forum and other forum visitors.
Please exercise some restraint to where you post your photos.
Thank you.

I agree...
The Fujifilm F.U.N. Blog is meant for contents which are relevant to F.U.N. and Fujfilm products. If the King wants us to show the macro capability of FinePix cameras, I am more than happy to shoot some image samples, and also to collect images from members.
I should have link the photos instead of posting in ur thread... Sorie my bad.. All pic had been removd.
HOWEVER, since the King has ordered this thread to be 'nostalgia and memorable treasure', let's keep it his way.

WAH... The King is 2lan.
Please don't make the King 2lan otherwise your heads will be rolling on the ground. And your family will be sent to Pulau Christmas for 10 years of hard labor.

Your Royal Highness,
Please cool down lah... We don't want another CS here.
