I'm new here and it seems this place is a little more relaxing than the other famous forum. I got a slew of cats photos posted there too, maybe cats are over shot and perhaps i need to brush up my skill too, that gallery thread of mine is silently dead, thought i might post here for all members here to critic and figure out why my thread is so silent?

Charlie

Saw your cats pixs, they are nice. Cats may be over shot, but so is just about any other subject. A group of us going to (over)shoot Thaipusam tomorrow. It is probably the most over shot subject in Singapore. But that makes it all the more challenging - to present an overshot subject in new light / perspective.

The only overshot subject I would avoid is the Merlion :knock1:

don't have to worry about over-shooting the cats. when you have enough photos you can probably compile them into a photo book. just keep at it.

Hi, welcome you. I saw your cats photos, is very nice but all are telephoto lens. How but try on wide angle and go near to the cats? It look very nice if you know how to compose and use the wide angle. Shooting happy man!!!

Hi Stanley, thanks for the kind words. Half of the cats in my area just doesn't like me to go near them, i tried my 50mm before and they just spook off especially those scaredy beautiful cats. Thats why i'm currently using zoom lens and its a cheapo one with autofocus.

Speaking of which, i need to upload more cats here!
