There's nothing wrong with lugging your camera around; DSLR or compact. So don't let anybody stop you or tell you otherwise. I would do it too but my camera is just too damn heavy.

I usually end up carrying mine around when I initially brought the gear out to shoot but it started to rain.. cannot leave it in the car lah, too much costs to risk being lost to car burglary...

So end up carrying around...

I used to do that but the weather was so hot nowsaday, hot until my pda screen also spoiled...since that day I dun carry around anymore.
Saving $$$ to buy Sony handphone, it should be good enough I think...

Everyday , everywhere i go , my standard package is A700 , 28-70mm & 70-200mm with a 100mm Macro with a Flash .

Special event then i would rearrange what i need to bring along . But most of the time , the 28-70mm is attached on the body & never leave home without a 100mm Macro .

My lightest to carry downstairs for a meal or bring kids to school will be the 16-80mm on the A100 .

I keep a small point and shoot digital camera with me at all times. No excuses for missing that "magic" shot now.
