Another contest for those who kena contest virus...
This one by Asian Geographic Magazine (http://www.asiangeo.com/poetryinmotion.html).
The theme this year is Poetry in Motion and there are three sub-themes - Wild in Motion, People in Motion, Earth in Motion. Overall grand prize is Canon 5D II system or equivalent, category top prize is Canon 50D. Lesser prizes not yet announced but last year, 2nd prize only a camera bag! Someone I know won 2nd and he 2lan :rofl: I got into finals with my ugly bird but did not win.
This one submit by 30 September, max 5 images, so plenty of time, don't say I last minute say.
BTW: Must subscribe to the magazine to take part, last year kena pay US$10 or something like that.

I think sports, or even lummers, a bit too cliche. Must look for other types of motion. Actually, Bro-Ex snail pix can be titled "Slow motion"

Of course macro can! Wild mah! You got many suitable pixs, including your caterpillar moving house and some of the ants action pixs! Snail also can. Slow motion mah. How can you pass on this :confused1:

Not necessary to pp a lot lah. And no need hidden meaning, just straightforward motion pixs will do, eg people / animals walking, running, jumping, fighting, etc etc. Eg your motion pixs of Korean drummer.
Also no need to actually capture the motion - ie make blur - using long exposure. Even if you "freeze" the motion, eg someone jumping in mid-air, that is fine too.
Hey by September you will have competition standard pixs liao :cheers:

maybe but definately not DSLR... if i really want to buy i think will get HS-10 ... anyway that will be not so soon also.. ahahha... definately not in time for the contest... but will shoot with my F200 and see how... :grin:
