GGM and I will be going on our treacherous journey to Jiao Park to find the sacred scroll and probably meditate for the whole morning and afternoon this coming Monday, until the birds pose nicely for us. :happy1:

We would probably spend 1 hour at Mandarin Duck pond, 1.5 hours at Ugly Bird cage, etc, etc.

In short, it is a trip meant for photographic composers. Compose until song song. Sounds a bit like Chopin.

Venue: Jurong Bird Park
Date: 7 June 2010 (Monday)
Time: 9am
Meeting Place: Ticket Counter
Ticket: $18 adult and $9 for senior citizen
Discount: 5% for OCBC Mastercard holders (I only have VISA duh!)

Interested parties, please leave your nickname here:

2. 2 bottles of mineral water (500cc) - one for morning and 1 for afternoon
3. White T-shirt (to reflect sunlight) - to reduce heat
4. Shorts (more cooling)
5. Comfortable Slippers/Decent pair of sneakers
6. Camera (preferably S5 Pro and long lens to shoot through cage, but for bro excel, should also bring IR D50)

This will be the first of many trips to Jiao Park, I can assure you. :cheer:

No problem lah! Poisonous F200EXR can shoot bigger birds, flock of birds, waterfall, flowers, etc. Poisonous passion is most important - can shoot hamapang.

Join us next time ya. Another advantage of compact camera is that you can creep up and take photos of smaller birds that are walking on the ground. For S5 Pro users, we need to photograph them from an angle and not 9's, unless we prone down and leopard crawl in the mud.

Yes also small camera can shoot birds in cages without shooting the net.

Or use Sgsoonhoe's shoot-through technique. This really comes in handy at jiao park. :clap2:
