Request for volunteer photographers for a community service project

Date: 12th to 14th June 2007
Time: 12th (8.30am to 10pm), 13th (8am to 10pm), 14th (8am to 5pm)
Venue: Nanyang Girls' Hostel
Food: Halal food will be provided (4 meals incl. supper)
Transport: Your own (I will try to arrange people to pick u up if possible)
No. of photographers required: 1 each day (can be more)
Remuneration: Nil. This is purely volunteer work (I will try to sponsor transport costs). A certificate will be given.

Event details:
This is a 3 days 2 nights camp for the girls under the umbrella organisation called Beautiful People. You can find out more about this organisation from here: http://www.beautifulpeople.org.sg. Mainly, we work with girls from family centres, welfare homes, youth outreach organisations and girls' homes.

This camp is an enrichment camp for around 25 girls. They will attend self-improvement workshops and activities organised by us. Pictures taken during this camp will be used in our collaterals and web site. However, they cannot be published or used in any way in public due to sensitive issues. Photographers can take this opportunity to practice their photography. Newbies are welcome, I can guide you along since I'll be there.

Please kindly call me at 9-479-9265 if you are interested to volunteer. I would require you to do all post-processing and pass me the CDs/DVDs within 2 weeks of the camp. CDs/DVDs cost will be borne by us.

Apologies for sounding so restrictive and imposing, but it is our responsibility to protect the privacy of the participants of the camp. :cheers:

Pretty good response so far. Thanks to all who volunteered. However we cannot have too many photographers in a day coz we don't want the girls to feel uncomfortable, except day 3, which we need at least 2 photographers. Let me discuss with my committee and update you all soon. Thanks!

Volunteers will need to submit their full names, NRIC numbers, contact numbers, adddresses and dates of birth to me for submission to Nanyang Girls Hostel for security (requested by them). We submitted too. Are you all ok with this?

Taking pictures of events like this is really quite easy so you don't need to worry about anything. However, I don't mind you tagging along if the organisers are ok with it. :)
